How to Reach Agra

You can travel to Agra in Uttar Pradesh in North India from any part of India. New Delhi, the capital of India is a convenient starting point to begin your journey to Agra. From Delhi you can travel to Agra by air, rail or road.

By Air

Agra is connected by an Indian Airlines / Alliance Air's flight from Delhi (35 min, four times a week), which continues onward to Khajuraho and Varanasi.

Kheria airport at Agra, is located 6 km from downtown Sadar Bazaar.

By Rail

Train is the most convenient mode of travel to Agra. The airconditioned Shatabdi Express leaves New Delhi at 0600 hrs everyday, and takes just 2 hours to Agra Cantt. Railway Station. Another convenient option is the Taj Express (leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin Station,New Delhi at 0715 / 0945 hrs). Both trains return to Delhi in the evening, making even a day excursion to Agra possible.

By Road

For those planning a road journey, Agra is only 200 km from Delhi. The national highway is a four-lane double carriageway for most of the way and the journey time from Delhi to Agra is around four hours. Good midway facilities are available at Dabchick complex and at Country Inn.
